Magwa Falls stands as a hidden gem of the Wild Coast. The second-highest waterfall in South Africa and an extremely impressive site to see as the water cascades down into the gorge below.
Our hike starts at the Magwa Tea Plantation offices where we will park the vehicle. Here we will meet our guides and we will be accompanied by a knowledgeable employee from the tea plantation who will explain the tea-growing process and answer any questions which you may have.
The hike will meander through the lush, green tea plantations for roughly 5kms before emerging at the impressive Magwa Falls. We will enjoy a well-earned break and have a chance to taste some of the tea produced right there at Magwa!
At this stage a lift can be organised to return you to the offices or, an alternate route back to our starting point can be taken which cuts through beautiful indigenous forest, adding roughly 6 kms.
Once back at the plantation offices you will have an opportunity to buy some of the locally produced tea before we head back to Mbotyi.
